I used to be someone that thought spending money on poles wasn’t worth it after they inevitably snap or bend and then you have to buy another pair. These pole are built different. All metal clamps that will last and the grade of aluminum and being telescopic these things are bomber. If something does go wrong it’s great to have the option to buy replacement parts!
They also encourage me to take more content on the hill and get creative with the angles you can achieve. Top cap mounts are a neat idea. I’ve used a pole as a monopod and also pushed/ buried it in some snow to make a tripod type set up.
They look awesome, low key and stylish.

These ski poles are absolutely fantastic, the long round grips with the straps. Adjustable length for AT and then the quality is above and beyond.
I wrote a review earlier saying the basket system was reliable, but that was because of MY user error. Ben was awesome to reach out right away to help me! I installed the baskets correctly this time and they feel like they are glued to the pole! The whole pole's design is so sleek and I'm really glad I bought them!!
I lost both of my baskets. Only found one. Not sure what I did wrong but the baskets did not feel like they were going to stay on the pole when I first got them… theory was correct unfortunately. it’s a nice pole tho
Hey Vee, sorry to hear that you lost your baskets. Unfortunately it sounds like you had some trouble installing them correctly. When installing, you need to give the baskets a bit of force to push/ thread them onto the pole, so that they sit flush against the lip. If there is a gap/ they do not feel tight, they are not yet correectly installed.
We use a tight tolerance on these to help ensure that the Baskets don't rotate when a camera is attached [if using RAV Baskets], and to prevent ever losing a RAV or Regular basket. I still didn't try them skiing but the shape, the design is really good, it looks sick. I was wory that the straps of the poles were not comfortable but they actually are! I fully recommend them. Once I finish this season with them I will put another review.
This will be my second season using these poles, and I'm still absolutely in-love with them! The practicality alongside there appearance strikes a fantastic combo not seen in many poles. A must have for any freeride boarder or skier.

I've been using the Apollo FR Poles for about a month at work now and they are hands down the best poles I have used. The material are top notch with the all metal construction. I have used them to beat stocks of ice up bamboo, dug hand pits while touring and have put them through there paces. They so far have not even a sign of breaking and are my everyday tool. If Ski Patrol can use them you should too.
I've had a solid week using the Apollo FRs so far. Initial impression is that these are sturdy well crafted poles. The lock mechanism is beefy and low profile and the swing weight is right in the sweet spot. No pole flex when cutting out hand pits and probing for layers. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a functional an robust new set of poles and not worried to carry a little extra weight. Sweet sticks!
